‘Heart & Soul’ Video Series Released

Tokoriki Island Resort, Fiji’s most awarded adults-only boutique island resort, is today proud to unveil part one of an eleven-part video series that perfectly illustrates the heart and soul of both the beloved property and Fiji as a beloved destination.

With a robust history; deep-seated local connections; lifelong legacy of community support; and a slate of awards under its belt – including multiple Trip Advisor, Condé Nast Traveller and Luxury Travel Magazine accolades – it’s difficult to capture the essence of Tokoriki Island Resort. Harder still is the task of encapsulating the mystery, beauty and warmth of the ancient and revered Fijian culture.

In the form of eleven short inspirational videos, Tokoriki Island Resort’s ‘Heart & Soul’ series has achieved the inconceivable.  Commencing with an overview of the celebrated ‘Tokoriki experience’, the series is a poignant reminder of why the resort holds a special place in the heart of travellers and has such a high percentage of returnee guests, and why Fiji continues to be a favourite travel destination.

The boutique island resort is located in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji and comprises 8 Beachfront Bures, 18 Beachfront Pool Bures and 10 Beachfront Pool Villas. With warm Fijian hospitality and caring attention to detail, Tokoriki Island Resort is the perfect Fiji destination for child-free island escapes or honeymoons. travelling extensively throughout Asia, the Pacific, Europe and

spectacular.”

Where do you source your local produce from: “All local produce is sourced from farms on the mainland, I’m incorporating more and more into the menu. We have so much on offer here in Fiji, it’s plentiful and it’s what I grew up with, I love the flavours and so do our guests.”
He has also introduced cooking on an open wood fire,
inspired by watching his mother and grandmother which offers
Chef, Ashim Singh says “All local produce is sourced from villages
that surround us, on an almost daily basis” which offers guests an
opportunity to experience authentic island style cooking.

Why Guests Have Returned 24 Times

Part seven of Tokoriki Island Resort’s ‘Heart & Soul’ series features returnee guest, Kate Richardson, an avid Tokoroki fan who has stayed with us 24 times.

Kate and her husband Shane return to their “island paradise” year after year because it’s the one place they can truly relax together and leave feeling completely rejuvenated.

Kate puts this down to the resort team and the fact that from the moment guests arrive, everyone on the island from the hosts to the gardeners, remember their names & story which makes them feel special.

On Shane & Kate’s 10th trip to Tokoriki Island Resort, the team held a tree-planting ceremony in their honour and on every visit since the couple have visited their “coconut tree” to see how much it has grown and to reflect on all the good times they’ve had on the island.

While the Richardsons are vocal about the benefits they reap from their regular trips to Tokoriki, they’re much more humble about their contribution to the resort’s rugby team.

Shane Richardson is the General Manager of the South Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League Club and has generously donated Rabbitohs rugby gear to the Tokoriki Rugby team.

The resort  sponsors the ‘Turnbull’s 7’, which is a regional rugby 7’s tournament by providing prizes, trophies and transfers for participating teams from the mainland and neighbouring islands and Shane attends this annual event as our special guest. Vinaka Shane & Kate.
