Tokoriki Island Resort has been privately owned by an Australian family for over 25 years and is Fiji’s most awarded adults-only boutique, luxury island resort. Voted by Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 15 Resorts. TripAdvisor #1 Hotel in the South Pacific 2021 and the Most Outstanding Luxury Hotel 2021 Fiji by LUXLife Magazine UK Resort & Retreat Awards. We will continue to offer our highest service and experience that Tokoriki is renowned for. The Managers, Robert Ring & Patrice Belle have resided at Tokoriki for the past 11 years and oversee all the finest details to ensure the resort is always to the highest level for our guests.

OUR COMMITMENT TO HEALTH & SAFETY

The number one priority for Tokoriki Island Resort is the health & safety of our guests and our team. We understand now more than ever that your clients need to have a great deal of trust and flexibility when choosing their travel destination. As a result, new Covid-19 cleaning processes have been added to our existing high-level Health & Hygiene practices which covers every aspect of accommodation, dining, spa, diving and more. Our goal is to provide an outstanding experience with Five-Star service combined with updated safety standards to ensure that your clients will experience a truly memorable stay.

    MEDICAL

We have a 24hr hotline to an Ace Medical Clinic Doctor for any health concerns for our guests. Guests will undergo a touchless thermometer check on arrival to the island. Should a guest have a temperature over 38 degrees they will be medicated and isolated to their bure or villa until the temperature has reduced or if the temperature persists guests will require a medivac at their own expense. Should a guest be confirmed with Covid-19 either on the island or once returned home, the resort will liaise with the Ministry of Health in providing the details of our guests and team who may have come in contact with the affected guests. First Responders have recently completed updated training and ongoing training is part of our procedures. The resort has a full medicine cabinet, oxygen, stretcher, wheelchair and complete with a Defibrillator. The resort is fully equipped to handle most medical emergencies should they arise. See below for travel insurance information.

    SOCIAL DISTANCING

The lobby, lounge, restaurant & bar are open on all sides by design for cross flow ventilation and when at full occupancy with up to just 72 guests is perfect size for social distancing. Masks & gloves are available on request should guests feel the need.

    SANITISATION

Our dedicated Lobby attendant and Reception team maintain high-touch points including room keys using hospital-grade chemicals. Porters will also sanitise luggage handles once delivered to the bure or villa. Hand sanitiser units are in place in the restaurant, bar, reception and WC.

    HOUSEKEEPING

A checklist already exists with colour coded microfibre cloths for each Bure or Villa on a daily basis to avoid cross-contamination. Each housekeeping attendant has a total of just 5 Bures or Villas to attend to, so plenty of time to ensure the perfect clean and set up is adhered to. Whilst the accommodations are all air conditioned and with ceiling fans, they are also designed to enjoy cross ventilation from non-glass windows and plantation
shutters. All switches, remote controls, handles and other touch areas will continue with our high standard of sanitisation. Bures & Villas will have a 24hr time between check-ins.

    SERVICES

Guest check-ins will continue to be personalised with one couple at a time in an open Lobby with high ceilings and fans for comfort. The resort is cashless, menus are printed fresh daily and housekeeping services are actioned while guests are out of their room.

    THE TOKORIKI TEAM

The Tokoriki team is a very big part of our guest experience and will continue to be so. All of our team will be receiving temperature checks on arrival to duty and we will provide personal protective equipment for their safety when required. The team will receive ongoing training to ensure our guests truly enjoy their island experience with the knowledge their safety is paramount. The majority of our team have been at the resort for over 10 years, which brings sentiment, care & a strong feeling of ‘home comfort’ for our guests.

    KITCHEN & RESTAURANTS

The resort has the highest standards in the F&B areas and are continuing to update as new procedures and policies are introduced when required. No buffets will be available, no sharing of kava drinking cups, wrapped paper straws have been introduced, glassware is washed to the recommended highest temperatures. The Bar team are supplied gloves when preparing drinks for guests. Bar snacks are individually served to guests.
