Mamanuca Island Resort Celebrates 28th Birthday

Tokoriki Island Resort is privately owned by the Turnbull family, who purchased the resort in 1995. On Sunday the 17th of September 2023, over 100 guests arrived by South Seas Cruises charter boat to help celebrate at the Turnbull’s island residence along with the Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka who acknowledged the current owners, Andrew and Yvonne Turnbull, of whom have put a great deal into the privately owned luxury boutique five-star resort which has won a number of global awards and is absolutely iconic. “It’s a product we are proud to have in the portfolio of offerings in this country. The product is as good as ever and they have a stronger relationship with the landowners, Yanuya Islands over the years” Mr. Gavoka said.

The Turnbull family are committed to consistently reinvesting and ensuring the resort reflects high standards of refinement for new and returning guests alike, many of whom visit year after year.

The resort has seen many changes over the past 28 years, having initially operated as a family resort.  In more recent years the resort has repositioned itself as a luxury 5 star adults only escape experience.
